Description
A fast, healthy smoothie that takes only 3 minutes to make. It combines frozen mango and passionfruit for a thick, creamy texture and tropical flavor, perfect for a quick snack or breakfast.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 cups frozen mango chunks
- 0.5 cup passionfruit pulp or unsweetened juice
- 0.5 to 1 cup liquid base (unsweetened almond milk, oat milk, or coconut water)
- 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt (optional, for protein and creaminess)
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
Instructions
- Pour the liquid base (almond milk, coconut water, or water) into the blender first to create a vortex.
- Add the passionfruit pulp or juice. If using fresh passionfruit, scoop out the seeds and pulp; leave seeds in for fiber or strain if preferred.
- Toss in the frozen mango chunks, placing them on top of the liquid and passionfruit.
- Blend on low speed for 5 seconds to break up the fruit, then immediately increase to high speed.
- Blend for 30-45 seconds until the mixture is uniform, smooth, and thick with no visible chunks.
- Taste and adjust: add more liquid if too thick, or honey if too sour, then blend for another 10 seconds to mix.
- Pour into a glass or drink directly from the blender cup.
Notes
Use frozen mango chunks for the best thick, slushie-like texture; avoid adding ice as it waters down the flavor. If using fresh mango, add 1 cup of ice. For meal prep, freeze mango and passionfruit in portions ahead of time. Consume immediately for best texture, as it separates within 15-20 minutes.
