  • Author: Isabel
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 16 servings 1x

Description

Chewy, buttery maple walnut blondies made with pantry staples in just 20 minutes. Perfect for last-minute cravings or quick snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until liquid. Let cool slightly.
  3. Whisk melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and maple syrup vigorously for 30 seconds until glossy.
  4. Sprinkle flour, baking powder, and salt over the wet mixture. Gently fold in until just combined.
  5. Fold in chopped walnuts.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes until edges are golden and center is set but soft.
  8. Cool in pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing into squares.

Notes

Do not overbake as blondies continue to cook in the pan. Toast walnuts for extra flavor. Can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
