Easy Labor Day Peach Iced Tea Sangria

  • Author: Isabel
  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 12-15 servings 1x

Description

A quick, dump-and-stir summer cocktail featuring fresh peaches, black iced tea, white wine, and spirits. Perfect for parties and gatherings with minimal prep time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 large fresh peaches (sliced into wedges) or 2 cans peaches in juice (drained)
  • 4 cups black iced tea (brewed strong and cooled)
  • 1 bottle (750ml) dry white wine (e.g., Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 23 tablespoons simple syrup or sugar (optional, to taste)
  • 1 cup vodka or white rum
  • 12 cups sparkling water or club soda (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Brew black tea using twice the normal amount of tea bags. Steep for 5-7 minutes, remove bags, and cool completely to room temperature or chill in the fridge.
  2. Wash and slice fresh peaches into thin wedges, removing pits. If using canned peaches, drain well and slice into halves or quarters. Toss fruit into a large pitcher (6-8 cups capacity).
  3. Pour the cooled black tea over the peaches in the pitcher. Add orange juice and sugar (if using). Stir well until sugar is dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
  4. Add the white wine and vodka or rum to the pitcher. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld (optional but recommended).
  6. To serve, fill glasses with fresh ice. Pour the sangria over the ice and top with a splash of club soda for fizz. Garnish with a peach slice or mint sprig.

Notes

Do not add ice to the main pitcher as it will dilute the drink; add ice to individual glasses instead. If using frozen peaches, they can be added directly to act as ice cubes. The recipe is naturally gluten-free and dairy-free. For a non-alcoholic version, double the tea and juice and skip the wine and spirits.
