Crispy Buffalo Cauliflower Bites: 15-Min Game Day Snack

  • Author: Isabel
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A fast, crispy, and spicy game day snack made with frozen cauliflower, cornstarch, and buffalo sauce. This gluten-free appetizer is ready in under 20 minutes and pairs perfectly with ranch or blue cheese dressing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz frozen cauliflower florets
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 stalks green onions, chopped
  • Ranch or blue cheese dressing, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place frozen cauliflower florets in a large bowl. Do not thaw.
  3. Sprinkle cornstarch over the cauliflower and toss until every piece is lightly dusted and pale.
  4. Arrange cauliflower in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring pieces are not overcrowded. Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. While cauliflower cooks, melt butter in a small bowl. Stir in buffalo sauce and garlic powder until smooth.
  6. Transfer hot, crispy cauliflower to a large bowl. Pour buffalo sauce mixture over and toss gently to coat.
  7. Serve immediately topped with chopped green onions and ranch or blue cheese dressing.

Notes

Do not skip preheating the air fryer to ensure crispiness. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding, which causes sogginess. Toss with sauce only right before serving to maintain texture. For oven method: bake at 425°F for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway.
