Description
A creamy, comforting protein shake that tastes like dessert but fuels dinner. Ready in just 5 minutes with pantry staples, this shake is perfect for busy weeknights when you need a quick, satisfying meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup pure pumpkin puree
- 1.5 cups plant milk or dairy milk (unsweetened almond, oat, or dairy)
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (whey or plant-based)
- 2 tablespoons nut butter (peanut or almond)
- 1 cup ice
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey (optional)
Instructions
- Pour liquid into the blender first to help blades spin freely.
- Add pumpkin puree, nut butter, protein powder, and spices.
- Add ice on top.
- Blend on low to break up ice, then crank to high for 45-60 seconds until smooth and frosty.
- Taste and adjust consistency with more milk or ice, or sweetness with maple syrup if needed.
- Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately.
Notes
Use 100% pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling. For an extra-thick shake, freeze pumpkin puree in cubes beforehand. A pinch of salt can enhance the spice flavors. Best consumed immediately for optimal texture.
