Description
A quick, lazy-day treat that mimics cafe-style lattes using just a mason jar. Ready in 5 minutes with simple pantry staples for a rich, velvety iced mocha.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ounces (60 ml) strong coffee (espresso shots or double-strength drip)
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) white chocolate sauce or syrup
- 1 cup (240 ml) milk (whole, 2%, oat, or almond)
- 1 cup (~100g) ice cubes
- Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Brew strong coffee and let it cool for about a minute.
- Add the white chocolate sauce, milk, and cooled coffee to a mason jar or cocktail shaker.
- Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the mixture is frothy and cold.
- Fill a tall glass to the top with ice cubes.
- Strain the shaken mixture over the ice.
- Top with whipped cream and extra syrup if desired, stir gently, and serve immediately.
Notes
For the best texture, do not skip the shaking step as it creates the necessary foam. Use cold milk to prevent the ice from melting too quickly. If using instant espresso, dissolve 2 teaspoons in 1 tablespoon of hot water before cooling. This drink is best enjoyed immediately as the foam settles after 10-15 minutes.
